In today’s day and age, very few cars are as ”out of this world” as the wedge-shaped Tesla Cybertruck. With the very first models slowly hitting the market in the US, the world is filled with loads of questions about all things Tesla Cybertruck. In today’s blog post, we’ll go over the prices, Cybertruck models, and the most important question of them all – How Much Does Tesla Cybertruck Cost?
How Much Does Tesla Cybertruck Cost?
- Rear-Wheel Drive Base Cybertruck – $61,000
- Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive Cybertruck – $79,990
- Triple Motor All-Wheel Drive Cyberbeast – $99,900
Is the Rear-Wheel-Drive Base Tesla Cybertruck Enough?
The base model RWD Tesla Cybertruck costs around $61,000 from the factory excluding options. This model of the Cybertruck is expected to hit the market sometime in 2025. With a strictly RWD system and a range of 250 miles, it does not offer the most range nor the most capable drivetrain.
It is expected to hit 60mph from a standstill in around 6.5 seconds while the top speed is hovering around the 112mph mark. It also has the lowest towing capacity rated at a somewhat measly 7,500lbs. There are no official power figures as of right now, but these should be released in the coming months.
Is Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive Tesla Cybertruck Enough?
With a starting price of around $79,990, the dual-motor Tesla Cybertruck is equipped with AWD and will offer you up to 340 miles of range. If you pay a bit more, Tesla will happily give you a range extender package which will push that range up to 470 miles which makes the Cybertruck extremely capable as far as range is concerned.
0-60mph should take around 4.1 seconds while top speed isn’t likely going to be much more than 112mph. Not too shabby for 600hp and a car as heavy as this one. and As far as towing capacity is concerned, the dual-motor Cybertruck can tow up to 11,000 lbs.
Is the Tesla Cyberbeast Worth It?
The top-end Tesla Cybertruck is called the ”Cyberbeast” because it offers three motors with a combined power output of 845hp which is enough to beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race while towing a Porsche 911. Top speed-wise, you are looking at around 130mph. So much power does come at a cost though which is set at $99,900. Yes, the top-end Cybertruck costs $100,000.
Range-wise, the Cyberbeast should be able to last up to 320 miles as standard, or up to 440 miles with a range extension package. Towing-wise, the Tesla Cyberbeast should be able to tow up to 11,000 lbs, but beware, towing with the Cybertruck means your projected range is going to fall down drastically.
What Are the Monthly Payments on the Tesla Cybertruck?
To properly calculate the monthly payment for a ”bulletproof” Tesla Cybertruck, you need to consider a few factors such as the purchasing price, the down payment, the loan term, and the interest rate. The purchasing price can change and there are three different Tesla Cybertruck models.
The more money you spend on the down payment, the lower your monthly payments are going to be. The longer the loan term, the lower your monthly payments. We can go on like this for quite some time, but let’s try and calculate how much a standard single-motor Tesla Cybertruck likely costs in monthly payments.
Let’s calculate an example using a base model Cybertruck priced at $60,990 (assuming no additional options). If you put down a 10% down payment and have a 60-month loan term at a 3% annual interest rate, here’s how it would look:
- Purchase Price (Base Model): $60,990
- Down Payment (10%): $6,099
- Loan Amount (Principal): $60,990 – $6,099 = $54,891
- Annual Interest Rate: 3%
- Monthly Interest Rate: 3% / 12 = 0.25%
- Loan Term: 60 months
- MONTHLY PAYMENT: $986,32
As per the calculations, the estimated monthly payment for a Tesla Cybertruck would be approximately $986.32. This calculation is based on a purchase price of $60,990 for the base model, a 10% down payment, a 60-month loan term, and a 3% annual interest rate.

Keep in mind that actual monthly payments may vary based on the final purchase price, the terms of your loan, optional equipment, and the specific financing options you choose. All in all, you can look at this as somewhat of a close figure.
How Long Is a Cybertruck Waitlist?
It is rather obvious that the Tesla Cybertuck is an immensely popular vehicle right now and many people want to get their hands on it. If you are one of those people, you should be prepared to wait up to five years if you order one now.
The reasoning behind this number is that Tesla said that they plan on making around 375,000 Cybertruck per year, at the very peak of production capacity. It is said that the Cybertruck waitlist numbers more than 2 million people, and the number is likely to rise in the coming months.
With that in mind, we can also expect extreme market adjustment prices where used Tesla Cybertruck models cost more than one from the factory, simply due to the fact that one has to wait years to get one from new.
