Is Tesla better than a Range Rover?

Tesla is one of the most advanced electric cars, while Range Rover has always stood out from the rest when it comes to its off-road capabilities combined with luxury. But which car is better than the other?

Tesla is the better car when it comes to performance, speed, and reliability. On the other hand, Range Rover stands out when it comes to off-road performance, luxury, and refinement. Overall, Tesla has an edge over Range Rover as it is more reliable, bigger, performs better, and more affordable.

How does Tesla weigh up against Range Rover?

There is no doubt that Range Rover looks more appealing than Tesla. However, Tesla still looks elegant but the wide range of Range Rover models give users several body options. Nevertheless, Tesla SUVs are slightly bigger than Range Rover SUVs of the same class.

For instance, the Tesla Model X comes with a length of 5.3 meters long, while Range Rover has a length of 5.0 meters long. Besides, the Model X has a width of 2.3 meters wide, while the Range Rover has a width of 2.0 meters wide. But when it comes to height, the Ranger Rover is 1.8 meters tall, while the Model X is 1.7 meters tall.

So, Tesla and Range Rover SUVs are almost the same size. Thus, if you love a simple but elegant look, the Tesla Model X is the best choice. But if you want an agile and handsome look, then go with the Range Rover.

What happens when your Tesla breaks?

Tesla is one of the best-performing cars on the market. Whether you choose Tesla Model Y or X, you will still get exceptional performance. Tesla Model Y accelerates from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, while Model X accelerates from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. On the contrary, a Range Rover takes 5.8 seconds to accelerate from 0-60 mph.

With this information, Tesla performs way better than a Range Rover. In terms of speed, the Range Rover only bests the Tesla Model Y as it has a top speed of 155 mph, while the Model Y has a top speed of 135 mph. On the same note, the Range Rover and Tesla Model X share the same top speed of 155 mph.

Range Rovers weren’t just built to allow people to traverse off-road or in tough terrains, but they were also created to provide comfort. As a result, Range Rovers are not only off-road beasts, but also provide comfort and luxury. Even though Teslas are comfortable, Range Rover’s comfort is on another level.

Cost of maintenance

Most Tesla owners love their cars because they are reliable in the long run. This is not the same with Range Rovers as they are some of the least reliable luxury cars on the market. So, apart from having a higher initial cost than a Tesla, a Range Rover will cost you a lot to maintain.

Tesla is among the luxury cars that hold their value well. On the contrary, Range Rovers depreciate so fast, as they are known to be unreliable. So, if you want to invest in a car that holds up its value best, then consider going for a Tesla instead of a Range Rover.

It is worth getting a Range Rover?

It depends on what you want to use the car for. If you want a luxurious off-road SUV, then a Range Rover is the best option. However, if you’re looking for a reliable luxury SUV, stay away from Range Rover, more so a used one. Overall, Range Rovers are excellent SUVs with high-quality features and fantastic performance.

What is the fastest electric car?

You will be surprised to learn that Tesla doesn’t have the fastest electric car on the market. That title goes to the Aspark Owl. This all-electric car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.69 seconds. It is followed closely by the Rimac C_Two that can accelerate from 0 to 60 in just 1.85 seconds.

What are the shortcomings of owning a Tesla?

Tesla may have many benefits, but it also comes with several setbacks. Some of the setbacks that Tesla owners experience are high cost of repair and maintenance, lackluster interior, high initial price, low towing capability, lack of service centers, battery degradations, and poor build quality.

Which car is more reliable: Range Rover or Tesla Model X?

The Tesla Model X is more reliable than the Range Rover. Range Rover is among the least reliable luxury cars on the market. Surprisingly, Tesla is more reliable than Range Rover, even though it has had quality problems in the past. Hence, if reliability is what you’re looking for, Tesla Model X is the more reliable car.

Most Range Rover users usually complain about engine issues, brakes, body-work, and non-engine issues. On the other hand, even though Tesla has had quality issues, these cars are extremely reliable and don’t cost a lot to maintain like the Range Rover.

Does Range Rover make electric cars?

No, it doesn’t. At the moment, Range Rover only makes ICE and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), but not fully electric vehicles. This is quite different from its competitors such as Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche, and Audi. So, if you’re looking for a luxurious SUV, you should consider getting the Jaguar I-Pace, Tesla Model X or Y, Mercedes EQC, or Audi e-Tron.

On the contrary, Range Rover offers PHEV options across its models, which include the Range Rover, Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport, Defender, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque. But if you want a fully electric SUV, you will have to look elsewhere.

Tesla offers the best electric cars with highly advanced features and technology. On the other hand, Range Rover is a luxurious SUV with lots of technologically advanced features. However, if you want a reliable and fun car to drive, go with Tesla. But if you want to enjoy a luxurious ride at a slightly higher cost, Range Rover is the car for you.

All in all, both of these cars are costly and expensive to maintain. Nonetheless, when all factors are considered, Tesla is the better car as it is reliable, performs better, and is spacious. On top of that, it is cheaper than the Range Rover.
