On the contrary, the third generation was developed jointly with PSA Peugeot Citroen and is based on the Fiat Small platform.

Note that the first generation Fiat Fiorino was also referred to as Fiat 127 Fiorino and was based on the Series 2 Fiat 127 with the back being a van box.
